This means all of you have the option of getting your very own copies of the music as quickly as your internet connection will allow, and you won’t have to pay for shipping either. Swans is going for $0.56 a track or $5.00 for the full album. As always, the Just Like Happiness EP is free.
Of course if you prefer a CD copy of Swans with art and liner notes and everything, you can still purchase one at a show or order through PayPal. The cost is the same as for the download, but PayPal orders include an extra $2 for shipping.

Oh that’s right, I have a blog!
Several weeks ago I recorded an album with good friend and occasional collaborator Alex DeTurk. Alex is a drummer and a recording engineer up in NYC that’s been involved in almost every major recording I’ve ever done. He produced and played on the original Justyn with a Y demos last year, and he and I go way back to when we were in college and playing in a terrible free-form psychedelic rock band that will not be named here. Alex is currently launching a website of recordings he’s done in unusual settings like streets, old warehouses, or in my case the forests of Western, PA.
We went up to the Laurel National Forest in Somerset County, PA and spent two days recording in various off-road locations. The hikes were brutal, the weather was ambiguous, and the mosquitos attacked in throngs. We also turned out some unique and plain damn good recordings. The songs are my favorites from the past couple of years and the performances are some of my most confident. This is the first Justyn with a Y factory-printed release and I couldn’t be prouder.
The name of the record is Swans and it is a good record.

Dracula Driveway and Little Bear and the Bad Touch played an outdoor show at Cafe Orwell in Bushwick yesterday. We managed to dodge the rain perfectly – we got some drizzles between the sets that stopped just in time for the performances. All in all a laid-back summer afternoon show.
