You know what I love? Free all-ages shows. Especially when they’re with old friends. Especially when those old friends happen to be incontrovertible musical geniuses. Saturday June 5th I’ll be motoring up to NYC to play a show with my old pals Avery Brooks and Abe Pollack. Believe me when I say these guys are on a completely different wavelength than most and are no doubt planning up some wildly creative mind-melters.
The following Friday I’ll be back in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed to play a show with Future Folk Records superheroes Green Grocer and Brooklyn reverbatrician Invisible Circle. This show might get a little bit intense and maybe just maybe a little bit awesome.
The first show will be part of Arts in Bushwick‘s Open Studios Festival with the Way Out Collective at their nondenominational studio in Brooklyn. In addition to hosting the event, the collective will be serving free food and drinks. The second will be at Stacy’s Coffee Shop in Falls Church, VA. This coffee shop is also nondenominational, however they will require money for use of their sustenance accessories.
Note: You may remember Abe from our duo last year, Dracula Driveway. Why not use this as an opportunity to revisit some of our classic collaborations like this one and this one?

Dracula Driveway and Little Bear and the Bad Touch played an outdoor show at Cafe Orwell in Bushwick yesterday. We managed to dodge the rain perfectly – we got some drizzles between the sets that stopped just in time for the performances. All in all a laid-back summer afternoon show. Me and Mike Thies from Little Bear took turns snapping pictures. Here are a few of the best
I have a band now consisting of me and my friend Abe. He plays drums, I play guitar. We are called Dracula Driveway, but you can also call us Coast of Nebraska, Brosphorescent, the Stepdads, Gutterpunk, or Sex Tourist. In fact you can also call me Adam, Mike, Benny, or Tony and you can call Abe Jonah, Steve, Harold, or Noah. We play loud, but you like it that way.
We are playing our first official show (it’s really our second) June 21 at Cafe Orwell in Bushwick. We’re going to be playing outdoors on an afternoon in late June. If it’s sunny it’ll be sweet.
SUNDAY JUNE 21
Cafe Orwell (Outdoors)
247 Varet St.
